Spec racing classes squeeze the bejebus out your motor. That makes a lot of heat, and heat is a bag of suck. Keeping your fan over the middle of the can is a great (and arguably the best) way to cool your motor. Personally, I never liked any position I could squeeze a fan on the chassis. And it wasn’t that effective.

Ride Low waterfall mounts combine key cooling and strength over the motor. The extremely low profile keeps your fan as close to the motor as possible. Wide venting and fan angle allows the air to flow quickly and easily around the center of the can. This fan sits as low as it can go without losing a rigid strength that you want in a waterfall.
